Federal Grant Assistance to the Yellow Bikes Program

The Fayette Alliance supports LFUCG’s federal grant application to finance and improve the “Yellow Bikes” community bike program. With additional funding, LFUCG can purchase state-of-the-art equipment that will enhance the Yellow Bikes program—such as integrating easy check out facilities, GPS and odometer readings on all bikes, and credit card tracking on lost or stolen bikes....

LFUCG Candidate Forum

The Fayette Alliance, the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, Fayette County Farm Bureau, and the Fayette County Neighborhood Council organized a LFUCG Council Candidate Forum on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at  the Central Public Library.  Candidates vying for contested Council seats in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 11th Districts were invited to participate. Buildings and Bluegrass Tour

The 2008 Buildings and Bluegrass Tour was sponsored by Artek, Blue Grass Tours, Good Foods Market and Cafe, Hallway Feeds, Kentucky Thoroughbred Association, Lexington Suburban Women's Club, Lexington Convention and Visitor's Bureau, and University of Kentucky Health Care.

EPA Consent Decree

ON FEBRUARY 19th, 2008, LFUCG released the details of the EPA Consent Decree. This agreement between LFUCG and the EPA addresses Lexington-Fayette County’s longstanding sanitary sewer and stormwater problems.
