Fayette Alliance Welcomes New Board Member Elisa Bruce

September 21, 2018 (Lexington, Ky.)- Lexington-Fayette County land use advocacy organization Fayette Alliance has named Elisa Bruce, Director of Homeownership Education and Counseling at REACH, Inc., to their Board.

“With her passion for public service, deep connections in the community and understanding of affordable housing issues, Elisa brings important expertise and experience to our Board,” said Fayette Alliance Board Chairperson Don Robinson. “We are thrilled to welcome Elisa and continue to work together to advance our critical mission of growing our city and promoting our farms.”

In her role at REACH, Inc., Bruce is responsible for administration of REACH’s housing counseling, education, and community outreach programs, including financial literacy, post-purchase counseling, homeownership education, and foreclosure prevention. REACH, Inc. is a Community Housing Development Organization that assists low- to moderate-income families and individuals become financially self-sufficient and obtain affordable housing.

Bruce is involved with many community organizations, including Lexington Fair Housing Council, Women Leading Kentucky, Lexington Hispanic Education Association, Business and Education Network, and Dia de la Mujer Latina, Kentucky Inc. She is the founder and director at “Líderes” Youth Leadership Institute, and a member of PROSPANICA, Hispanic Latino Business Council, and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).

Bruce also hosts long-running Spanish language television and radio programs and is President of EEB/iiWA Consulting Group, which provides translation, interpretation, and multicultural training services to businesses, non-profits and organizations.
