The series will feature well known artists throughout the year at local venues painting for their supper. Polish-born Andre Pater, a resident of Lexington since 1988, is considered by many to be the greatest in the sporting art field since Sir Alfred Munnings. Andre’s paintings and drawings speak for his artistic skill, inventiveness, and originality. His style ranges from detailed realism to action-filled, blurred images, which express the intensity and emotion of equine sports.
Upon completion of the series, an auction of works by the featured artists will be held to benefit The Fayette Alliance, Lexington’s ONLY land-use advocacy organization that regularly educates and lobbies local government for a sustainable growth model that benefits all of us. Please visit www.fayettealliance.com for more information.
Please contact Charlene Mingus (859)281-1202 or Charlene@fayettealliance.com if you have any questions.
Special thank you to Cross Gate Gallery for sponsoring the Paint for Your Supper series.
